Registration of Edu-Domains

We are an ICANN accredited registrar and guarantee a fast and reliable registration of domain names.

Only educational institutions in the USA and some US-institutions in Europe are eligible to register edu-domains. If you want, that we support you, in order to register edu-domains please e-mail to secura@domainregistry.de .

Every month the ICANN accredited Registrar Secura receives inquiries about Edu-Domain. Secura can also support the registration of Edu-Domains, but it still has to disappoint most people. The conditions for Edu-Domains are very restrictive: Edu-Domains can only register educational institutions in the US. Outside the US, only a handful of US educational institutions have the right to register Edu domains.

There have always been alternatives to the Edu-Domains in certain countries:

The target groups for these domains are traditional educational institutions, which want to give themselves a modern, international image through a domain name such as Academy domains or college domains. In addition, companies are an important target group. It is hard to believe how many companies today initiate demanding education processes for employees, sales representatives, customers or suppliers. For them, of course, it also means upgrading their efforts when the courses or the educational institute are now found among the college domains or Academy domains.
