The domains from Austria are ".at". This is special interesting, because in English, at has
a meaning. You could form combination with files, which are sentences like e.g.
http://www.buy.at/home.
If your desired name is taken at ."at", you can try to register it at .co.at or
or.at .
If you want to have a strong presence in Austria, it is recommended, that you register your
name as well at ".at" as at .co.at, biz.at, info.at and .or.at. Otherwise a competitor could annoy you by registering your name at .co.at
and .or.at.
You can get also domains at .at, co.at, info.at, biz.at and .or.at with special characters like ä, ö and ü.
The standard at-Domain costs 60 EUR/year.
The new Austrian short domains are coming!
The introduction of short domains: That’s how it works!
Austria is on the threshold of a new domain era: the
1.3 million existing domains will be joined by a group
of all-new one and two character domains.
In total, 4,965 single and double digit .at domains will
be made available: these include number-only domains
such as 1.at and 12.at, as well as letter and number
combinations like 1a.at and k2.at and letter-only do-
mains including aa.at and f.at. Letter options extend to
all of the 34 characters in the IDN table, meaning that
special characters such as ü, ä, ç and å are permitted.
To ensure that the allocation process is as fair and
transparent as possible, the new domains will be in-
troduced in phases. The sunrise phase for trademark
owners begins on 29 August 2016. Members of the
general public should make a note of 7 November
2016 in their diaries – the date that all of the remai-
ning short domains are auctioned off.
Price advantage in the Sunrise Phase:
If the request for a brand domain during the Sunrise phase is introduced as registrar by us and the short at-domain is charged by us,the domain costs instead of 200 EUR only 170 EUR. The processing fee per application of EUR 100 is added.
Price of short at-domain at the General Availability
