Free Pre-Registration of New Fly-Domains

The ICANN process for introducing new Top Level Domains is moving forward. The Sunrise Period for Fly-Domains starts on September 1, 2026. During the Sunrise Period, trademark owners can register their trademarks as identical domain names under the Fly-Domain. To do so, the trademarks must be registered with the Trademark Clearinghouse .

The Fly-Domain is the most comprehensive domain extension for everything related to flying and addresses numerous industries – from tourism and airlines to the aircraft industry.

Some companies and organizations have not yet registered their important names or terms as trademarks. Such companies and organizations can also obtain a Fly-Domain during the Sunrise Period.

Secura GmbH can arrange the corresponding trademark registration at short notice, enabling companies and organizations to participate in the Sunrise Period for Fly-Domains. Secura GmbH will register the new trademark with the Trademark Clearinghouse and subsequently register the corresponding Fly-Domain.

You can pre-register your desired name under the Fly-Domain here. Pre-registration of a Fly-Domain is free of charge but binding. If we successfully secure the requested name for you, you are required to pay the domain registration fee.

Each standard domain costs EUR 60 per year during General Availability. For many domain extensions, domains registered during the Sunrise Period are more expensive than domains registered during General Availability. With Fly-Domains, however, standard and premium domains cost the same during the Sunrise Period as they do during General Availability.

The following launch phases are planned for Fly-Domains:

Sunrise Period: September 1, 2026 to November 9, 2026. Domains will also be allocated during the Sunrise Period on a "first come, first served" basis.
Early Access Period: November 10, 2026 to November 17, 2026
General Availability: from November 17, 2026.

The Early Access Period operates like a "Dutch auction." Fly-Domains become less expensive from day to day.

The Fly-Domain is a secure namespace, which means that HTTPS is required for all websites under .Fly. You can purchase and park a Fly-Domain, but it will only work in a browser with SSL encryption.

You can purchase webspace from us together with your Fly-Domain. Encryption is already included at no additional cost. Alternatively, you can purchase an SSL certificate from us for strong encryption.
