Free Pre-Registration of SBS-Domains

The ICANN process of introducing new top level domains is progressing. The sunrise period for SBS-Domains runs from May 6, 2021 to July 7, 2021. During the sunrise period, trademark owners can apply for SBS-Domains of the same name. It is necessary to register the trademarks with the Trademark Clearinghouse .

SBS is read as "side by side" and the SBS-domains are particularly suitable for companies and organizations with social commitment.

The application fee for the sunrise period is 900 US-Dollar per application. The registration of a standard SBS-Domain costs 39 US-Dollar. Renewing a Sunrise Standard Domain also costs 39 EUR /year.

General Availability starts on June 8th with an Early Access Period. Those interested in the Early Access Period can send an e-mail to secura@domainregistry.de. The Early Access Period works like a Dutch Auction: The prices are falling every day. You can get your SBS-Domain name before the others by the Early Access period.

The registration of a standard SBS-Domain costs 39 EUR/year at general availability.
